Schlachtvieh – Ein Rock-Oratorium Gegen Den Krieg
A bizarre album in the tradition of earlier underground left-field "Polit Rock" Krautrock acts like Floh De Cologne, Lokomotive Kreuzberg, Oktober or Checkpoint Charlie, but given a whole new twist with lots of avant-garde percussives, electronics and mutilated guitars. A surreal piece of theatre with aptly surreal music, and menacing/startling texts delivered by a variety of voices: male, female, spoken, acted, sung and all delivered with a great deal of imagination and originality.
Virtually all the musicians are unknowns, except two. I wondered at first - Is that Bruno Schaab from Guru Guru? It would seem so, as the other known name: Matthias Schäuble is sound-man with Guru Guru (and other related acts) in more recent times. It could all be a coincidence though!

Aktuell, aber längst vergessen und ohne weitere Spuren, - bei Interesse hier versuchen reinzuhören.
Ansonsten: "We don't do bodycounts." - General Tommy Franks
Iraq Body Count:
During 2014 Iraq Body Count (IBC) recorded 17,049 civilian deaths from violence. This is the third highest civilian death toll after 2006 and 2007, and some months exceeding even those years’.

"Arab spring prompts biggest migrant wave since second world war"
Die Unruhen des Arabischen Frühlings hätten die größte internationale Flüchtlingswelle seit dem Ende des Zweiten Weltkriegs ausgelöst, schreibt Patrick Kingsley. "Wars in Syria, Libya and Iraq, severe repression in Eritrea, and spiralling instability across much of the Arab world have all contributed to the displacement of around 16.7 million refugees worldwide. A further 33.3 million people are 'internally displaced' within their own war-torn countries, forcing many of those originally from the Middle East to cross the lesser evil of the Mediterranean in increasingly dangerous ways, all in the distant hope of a better life in Europe. 'These numbers are unprecedented,' said Leonard Doyle, spokesman for the International Organisation for Migration. 'In terms of refugees and migrants, nothing has been seen like this since world war two, and even then [the flow of migration] was in the opposite direction.'"
