Performance

The Del Valle Archive and Drkrm Gallery have assembled a collection of rare and unseen photographs from PERFORMANCE (1970) and THE MAN WHO FELL TO EARTH (1976), two legendary films directed by Donald Cammell and Nicolas Roeg. Now recognized as classics, both films were, upon their release, met with a hostile critical reception that rejected their dazzling, kaleidoscopic use of montage as well as a daring mixture of sadism and eros -- the juxtaposition of images of sex and violence. Both films starred famous British rock stars, Mick Jagger in Performance and David Bowie in The Man Who Fell To Earth.
