Die anomische Herrschaft der Rackets (XIII): The Rise Of The Badass Jihadis in Black
"The Rise of ISIS"
Der amerikanische TV-Kanal PBS hat eine einstündige Frontline-Dokumentation über den Aufstieg des "Islamischen Staats" ins Netz gestellt.
(PBS.org vom 28.10.2014)
"The Long, Shameful History of American Terrorism"
"Jihadism's most fearsome current manifestation is the Islamic State, or ISIS, which has established its murderous caliphate in large areas of Iraq and Syria. 'I think the United States is one of the key creators of this organization,' reports former CIA analyst Graham Fuller, a prominent commentator on the region. 'The United States did not plan the formation of ISIS,' he adds, 'but its destructive interventions in the Middle East and the War in Iraq were the basic causes of the birth of ISIS.' To this we may add the world's greatest terrorist campaign: Obama's global project of assassination of 'terrorists.' The 'resentment-generating impact' of those drone and special-forces strikes should be too well known to require further comment. This is a record to be contemplated with some awe."

Who Runs the Islamic State?
ISIS is unlike any other terrorist group in recent memory. It has to keep hidden while also running a state. That’s created a clandestine group of leaders anxious to protect themselves from rivals — and airstrikes — but who also must engage in the mundane business of governance. They order executions and craft military campaigns, but also issue traffic tickets, regulate the price of foodstuffs and consider whether cigarettes and motorbike racing are acceptable to their brand of Islam. (They are not.) Explore more in our interactive below.
The Caliph fit to join OPEC
Caliph Ibrahim's Islamic State is now for all practical purposes an oil major worth of OPEC membership, with US$2 million in profits a day from juicy energy deals and prices to die for. All its gains would not even be remotely possible without US/Western overt/covert complicity, proving once and for all that The Caliph is the ultimate gift that keeps on giving in the Global War On Terror. - Pepe Escobar (Oct 31, '14)
... aber dazu fehlt dem Kalifen offenbar noch das ideologically suitable Fachpersonal:
The Islamic State is seeking "ideologically suitable" oil industry experts to help run oil fields and refineries it has seized in Iraq and Syria.
According to reports, the lucrative position the terrorist group (also known as ISI or ISIL) is seeking to fill is that of refineries manager, which would earn the right candidate $225,000 a year. (By Haaretz | Nov. 3, 2014)
