Arno: With his whiskey-and-cigarettes vocals, blues-inspired arrangements, and acerbic lyrics, Arno regularly earned comparison to gutter poets like Serge Gainsbourg and Tom Waits... Sein neues Album "Brussld" sei empfohlen ...
Alex Harvey (* 5. Februar 1935 in Glasgow, Schottland; † 4.
Geburtstag.

It was in the days of discontent
Of anarchy and rage
When Babylon was burning
That the music came of age
The bands were fast and furious
Commitment was the word
The future still unwritten
In the days that changed the world
It started out by word of mouth
That great unholy din
From auntie's midnight rambler
And the NME within
An empire seemed to tremble
As the revolution stirred
The pistols they were loaded
In the days that changed the world
Days that changed the world...
The days that changed the world...
The pistols they were loaded in
the days that changed the world
When Ziggy got his big idea
And Slowhand showed his cards
We rallied to the carnival
And partied in the parks
Fat Martin and his bullyboys
From marching were deterred
When black and white united in
The days that changed the world
But later on the telethon
The stars came out to play
The global conscience came alive
To feed the world that day
And after famous, rich and laid
The saint became a sir
He earned his reputation in
A day that changed the world
The days that changed the world...
A day that changed the world...
He earned his reputation in
a day that changed the world
The songs have been forgotten
And the Verses have been burned
While dirty Mags and Rupert's rags
Have left no stone unturned
With talking vermin crawling out
In colours new unfurled
Like you and I they all survived
The days that changed the world
Now Johnny's wearing Mambo suits
With thinning orange hair
And Joseph in his combat coat's
a denim millionaire
And me - so glad to be a dad
and living with a girl -
I hardly ever think about
The days that changed the world
Days that changed the world...
The days that changed the world...
I hardly ever think about
The days that changed the world
But sometimes in the dead of night
I dream of other men
Of Rolan Adams, Rodney King
and Jean Marie Le Pen,
The many friends who passed away
Whose voice was never heard...
Humanity's still waiting for
The days that change the world
Days that change the world...
The days that change the world...
Humanity's still aching for
The days that change the world

When I was back there in seminary school
There was a person there
Who put forth the proposition
That you can petition the Lord with prayer
Petition the lord with prayer
Petition the lord with prayer
You cannot petition the lord with prayer!
When You’re Strange uncovers historic and previously unseen footage of the illustrious rock quartet and provides new insight into the revolutionary impact of its music and legacy. Directed by award-winning writer/director Tom DiCillo and narrated by Johnny Depp, the film is a riveting account of the band’s history.
Said Depp, “Watching the hypnotic, hitherto unreleased footage of Jim, John, Ray and Robby, I felt like I experienced it all through their eyes. As a rock n’ roll documentary, or any kind of documentary for that matter, it simply doesn’t get any better than this. What an honor to have been involved. I am as proud of this as anything I have ever done.”
The film reveals an intimate perspective on the creative chemistry between drummer John Densmore, guitarist Robby Krieger, keyboardist Ray Manzarek and singer Jim Morrison — four brilliant artists who made The Doors one of America’s most iconic and influential rock bands. Using footage shot between the band’s 1965 formation and Morrison’s 1971 death, When You’re Strange follows the band from the corridors of UCLA’s film school, where Manzarek and Morrison met, to the stages of sold-out arenas.
The film is produced by Wolf Films/Strange Pictures, in association with Rhino Entertainment, and released by Abramorama. Additional credits for WHEN YOU’RE STRANGE include producers Dick Wolf, John Beug, Jeff Jampol, and Peter Jankowski. The film is written and directed by Tom DiCillo (“Johnny Suede,” “Living in Oblivion”). Narrated by Johnny Depp (- sehr schöner Kommentar: You can't burn out when you're not on fire!).
Tony Sheridan is a man who has been at every crossroads of Rock and Roll and now lives in a remote village in northern Germany far from high-energy Hamburg where once he was a star and where his name is featured at the 'Beatles-Platz' memorial. Most people think of Tony as the man who first recorded with the Beatles and who played with them during their seminal time in Hamburg at the start of the Sixties. But, as this documentary shows, there is far more than that to the story of Tony Sheridan.
In his turbulent and rich life he has worked with the Beatles, entertained the troops in Vietnam, played with Elvis Presley's backing band - and abandoned British citizenship to take on the Irish citizenship of the father he rediscovered in adulthood. All that and far more. In this feature for RTE's Documentary on One, Tony tells the story of his life journey - with lots of great music and plenty of good stories along the way. This is a must for anyone who wants to know more about the Beatles, Rock and Roll, life lived to the full - and the best way to string a guitar.

Wise Man Says II
"The illusion of freedom will continue as long as it's profitable to continue the illusion. At the point where the illusion becomes too expensive to maintain, they will just take down the scenery, they will pull back the curtains, they will move the tables and chairs out of the way and you will see the brick wall at the back of the theater."
